• Opt for local grown vegetables, as they have obviously traveled less in order to be in your kitchen, therefore have less of a carbon footprint as opposed to imported goods.
• Use eco friendly shopping bags to carry your groceries home from the store. This is a common practice widely growing in popularity to reduce on nylon usage.
• Start a kitchen compost to recycle natural kitchen wastes like potato peels, fruit rinds and over ripe vegetables. Giving back to the land that gives is always a good thing!
